Jurgen Lijcops has worked as a sommelier and spirits connoisseur for many years, at a number of highly regarded restaurants. He travels the world regularly, partly to update his knowledge of the most exquisite bars and partly for the fun bit: to drink in them. In 2016 he started Bar Burbure in Antwerp, using years of expertise to craft the most exquisite cocktails and long drinks. That same year it was awarded the title of best bar concept. He was elected best sommelier of Belgium and best host of Belgium twice by Gault Millau.
